Walter’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

Our sincere condolences to the Endler family. Walt was a good friend and always had a helping hand for everyone. His dedication to the citizens and first responders of the Township was inspirational . He not only made sure the system worked but would take the time to tell you why.

Walter was the jack of all trades and the master of them as well. A "Go to Guy" in every sense of the words. Condolences to his family and brother firemen.

Walt Endler, a steadfast man; A man who could be trusted with anything. Outgoing, steadfast, reliable, generous, self effacing… the list would be pages long and still be incomplete. I had the honor and pleasure of serving as an OEM Annex Chief during Walter’s tenure as North Brunswick Township Emergency Management Director, and I learned a great deal from him.
Over the years North Brunswick has experienced numerous Emergency Scenarios, and Walter would be personally involved every one. A short list of types requiring OEM Coordination: Major Snow Storms, Structure Fires, Heavy Rains local flooding, Traffic Accidents, Power outages, a Water Plant Fire w/ restoration and maintenance of minimal emergency water supply. Hurricanes, and more… each requiring coordination of appropriate Emergency Response Agencies: Fire, Rescue E.M.T.s, Police, County Sheriff, State Police, Power Utilities, Federal EPA, FEMA… Walt took it all in stride.
And he was my friend. I thank the LORD for Walter Endler. He was for me, a shining example of integrity and unselfish generosity in real time… Live, up close, and personal… I will miss him greatly!

Walter Endler was one of the most dependable people I ever worked with. He was tireless, conducting behind the scene efforts to support community Heritage Days, Memorial Day Parades, 5K races, fireworks displays and myriad other special community events. Walter coordinated the critically important emergency services support for these events, typically planning it all well in advance. He was often first on the scene assuring all supports were in place. Walter was remarkably collaborative, supportive, and resolute in his efforts to assure community events were safe, and therefore able to be enjoyed by North Brunswick residents of all ages. A man of many talents and quick to deflect kudos to others, Walter was the epitome of community servant. RIP.
