Obituary of Mary Lombardo Mancuso

Mary (Carmella) Lombardo Mancuso died Monday, December 2, 2019, at Spring Hills at Somerset. She was 96.

 

Born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania to the late Pasquale and Leona (Aronica) Carmella, she was raised in Dubois, PA and lived in Milltown, East Brunswick and Forked River before moving to the Somerset section of Franklin Township three years ago. She was a mailroom clerk at Johnson and Johnson before her retirement.

 

Mrs. Mancuso was a former communicant of St. Bartholomew R.C. Church in East Brunswick where she was a member of the church's choir and the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a former communicant of St. Pius X R.C. Church in Forked River where she was involved in the Sew and Sews. She was a member of the Women's Club of Lacey Township. Mary enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and traveling, but mostly loved spending time with family and friends.

 

Her first husband John J. Lombardo, Sr. died in 1985 and her second husband Joseph Mancuso died in 2011. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings – Angela Doerner and Pat, Thomas, Leonard, Angelo, Josephine and Bobby Carmella; her son-in-law Kenneth Wotton, Sr.; and stepson-in-law Daniel Cuozzi. Surviving are her son John J. Lombardo, Jr. of Monroe Township; two daughters – Leona Wotton of Forked River and Carole Szucs and her husband Allen of Kendall Park; two step daughters – Josephine Cuozzi of South Park, Pennsylvania and Carol Caliendo and her husband Anthony of Forked River; her brother Samuel Caramela of Somerset; her sister Carmelita Berg of North Brunswick; seven grandchildren – John Lombardo and his wife Kristin, Jason Lombardo, Robert Lombardo and his wife Yegang, Kenneth Wotton and his wife Tracy, Lisa Megill, Lindsay Szucs and Olivia Szucs; four great grandchildren – Erin and Shawn Megill, Matthew Joseph and Hayley Wotton; and step grandchildren – Donata Barnes, Susan Houston and her husband Kenneth, Jennifer Fink and her husband Kenneth, Christine Caliendo and her husband Michael Broderick and Anthony Caliendo and their families.

 

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Friday from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Bartholomew Church in East Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
