Obituary of Thomas A. Zink

Thomas A. Zink died Friday, December 20, 2019, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 68.
Born in Jersey City, he lived in Edison and Metuchen before moving to North Brunswick in 1977. He was a printer at Alert Typesetters in New York City before becoming a security officer for the Rutgers University Police Department where he worked for 27 years before retiring in August of 2016.
He was predeceased by his mother Joyce (Rothman) Zink. Surviving are his wife of 47 years Mary (Boardman) Zink; two daughters – Mary Boyd and her husband Mathew Brauer of Hingham, Massachusetts and Brenda Guttenberg and her husband Jason of Cornwall, New York; his son Thomas A. Zink, Jr. of Milltown; his father John J. Zink, Jr. of Bordentown; two brothers – John J. Zink, III, of East Brunswick and George Zink of Robbinsville; and five grandchildren – Madison Boyd, Gretchen Guttenberg, Max Guttenberg, Morgan Zink and Maya Zink.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Monday at Selover Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
