Richard H. Selover, Owner and Manager (NJ License #2443)

Richard H. Selover and his wife Carol Lou Selover are the founders and owners of Selover Funeral Home. Dick is a native of Milltown, a graduate of New Brunswick High School and McAllister School of Embalming in New York City. Carol Lou was born and raised in Maplewood and graduated from Columbia High School. They are members of Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Brunswick. Dick is a member of Palestine Lodge #111 F. and A.M. and the Scottish Rite and is an honorary member of the North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Department. They have four children and nine grandchildren and enjoy spending time at the Jersey Shore. They are proud to have spent more than fifty years serving North Brunswick and the surrounding communities. They value the many relationships built with the families they have served.


Gary F. Gorzynski, Funeral Director (NJ License #4063)

Gary F. Gorzynski has been working with his father-in-law, Dick Selover, since 1991. He was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Gettysburg College with a bachelor degree in business administration with an accounting specialty. Gary worked as a certified public accountant but spent much time at the funeral home where he found personal reward in helping people during a most difficult time in their life. He received his funeral service certificate from Mercer County Community College where he received the prestigious J. M. Nolte Scholar Award based on Academic Excellence.

While in college Gary was very involved in music department activities, performing in bands and choirs. He was drum major of the Norwin High School and Gettysburg College marching bands. He was an instructor with Norwin and South Brunswick High Schools’ Marching Bands and was a member of South Brunswick’s Huddle Club, the football parents’ organization. He is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoys golfing, boating and mostly spending time with his family. He is a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Brunswick where he serves on the church’s Endowment Committee. He is a member of Sigma Nu and Phi Mu Alpha Fraternities and an honorary member of the North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Department. He and his wife, Karen Selover Gorzynski are the very proud parents of three children – Amanda, Daniel and Matthew. 


Joseph J. Kurzawski, Jr., Funeral Director (NJ License #3717)

Joseph J. Kurzawski, Jr. has been a licensed funeral director since 1984. He has been serving the communities in Middlesex County since 1990. Joseph is also licensed to sell life and health insurance in the State of New Jersey. He is a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute with a certificate in automotive technology, graduate of Mercer County Community College with a degree in science and a certificate of mortuary science and a graduate of the New Jersey School of Insurance. Joe has been active in communities serving as president of the South Amboy/Sayreville Rotary Club, secretary and vice-president of the Lions Club, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoys art, music, golfing, fresh water fishing, cars, and is an avid chess player.
