Do I need a Death Certificate?

A certified copy of the death certificate is necessary to take care of any legal or financial matters. Certified copies are usually required for bank accounts, life insurance policies, pensions and benefits, socks, bonds, changing ownership of vehicles, real estate and government programs.

Most agencies require a certified copy of the death certificate and not a photocopy. Selover Funeral Home will help determine how many certified copies are needed and will obtain them for you.

We can also help you to obtain additional certified copies of the death certificate at a later time.
