Obituary of Christina R Prok

Christina R. (LaCorte) Prok died Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 90. Born in Brooklyn she lived in Edison before moving to East Brunswick 15 years ago. She worked most of her life with her parents and siblings at LaCorte Bakery in North Brunswick until retiring in 1999. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She brought light to the many lives she touched. Christina's utmost devotion and love towards her family will be missed and honored. Her husband Louis J. Prok died in 1999 and her son Gerard Prok died in 2002. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law – Fran and Cliff Zatz of East Brunswick; her brother Michael LaCorte and his wife Loretta of Somerset; two loving grandchildren – Jenna Christine and Stephan Zatz; and her beloved pup Enzo. Funeral services will be 9:45 AM Thursday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at St. Bartholomew's R.C. Church in East Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
