Obituary of Edmund P Gonch

Edmund P Gonch died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He was 83. Born in New Brunswick, he was a long-time resident of North Brunswick. Edmund served with the US Army from 1958 to 1962. Parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Milltown, he was a lab technician at Bristol Meyer's Squibb for 43 years before retiring and enjoyed stamp and coin collecting. Edmund was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the New York Mets. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Anna J. Gonch; daughter, Karen Ann Capone and her husband Peter of North Brunswick and their daughter Allison; daughter Elizabeth Doucas and her husband William of Sarasota, FL and their children Paul, William and Gabriella; daughter, Suzanne Goggin of North Brunswick and her sons Matthew and Eric. Edmund is also survived by his devoted brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be 8:45 AM Friday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 9:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes. Church in Milltown. Interment follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
