Obituary of Phyllis Mae Reigle Reed

Phyllis Mae Reigle Reed passed away peacefully on August 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 87 years old. Phyllis was born in Shamokin, PA and had lived in Levittown and Shamokin, PA before moving to New Brunswick, NJ 60 years ago. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Shamokin, PA and in Princeton, NJ. She was a cafeteria supervisor and a teacher's aid for the New Brunswick Board of Education. Phyllis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Metuchen and a Sunday school teacher, she was a former Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. Most importantly she was a wife and a mother. Phyllis is predeceased by her parents Emerson and Ethel (Cook) Reigle, her loving husband Boyd J. Reed in 2008 and a brother Neil Reigle. She is survived by her devoted children David E. Reed of New Brunswick; Jill A. Reed of New Brunswick and a brother Frederick Reigle of Fleetwood, PA.. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, N.J. from 4:00PM till 8:00PM. Funeral service will be on Friday August 18, 2017 from 12:00PM till 1:00PM with a 1:00PM service at the Farrow Funeral Home, 6th and Chestnut Streets, Shamokin, PA. Interment will be at Saint Peter's Blue Church Cemetery, Ralpho Twp., PA
