Obituary of Theresa A Geardino

Theresa A. (Recine) Geardino died Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City. She was 89. Born in New Brunswick to the late Michael and Serafina (Fiorentino) Recine she lived in Edison for over 50 years before moving to Arbor Terrace at Shrewsbury in Tinton Falls over four years ago. She was a group leader at E.R. Squibb and Sons in New Brunswick where she worked for 35 years before retiring in 1982. Mrs. Geardino was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick and St. Theresa R.C. Church in Edison. She was past president of the Auxiliary of American Legion Post #88 in Highland Park. While at E.R. Squibb and Sons she served as chairman of the United Fund. Her husband Philip M. Geardino died in 2008. She is also predeceased by three brothers Carl, Vito and Salvatore Recine. Surviving are her son Glenn R. Geardino and his wife Lisa of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; three sisters – Jennie Beese of Freehold, Christine Delhagen of Columbus and Catherine Delhagen of Freehold; a brother Angelo Recine of Toms River; and two granddaughters – Taylor and Zoe. Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 575 Route 28, Building #2-2107, Raritan, NJ 08869.
