Obituary of Anthony L Prestifilippo

Anthony L. Prestifilippo died peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his home in Kendall Park surrounded by his family. He was 86 years old. Anthony was born in Jersey City and had lived in Jersey City. He has lived in Kendall Park 52 years. He was a communicant of Saint Mary of Mount Virgin RC Church, New Brunswick. Anthony was a shop steward at McLean Trucking, South Plainfield and retired as a Teamsters fund manager after 36 years with Local #701, South Brunswick. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his wife Anne R. (Fischetti) Prestifilippo on October 3, 2017; his parents – Giovanni and Concetta Prestifilippo. Surviving are his five children - John Prestifilippo of Kingwood, TX, Carolyn Clark of Kendall Park, Maria Dowgin of Monmouth Junction, Joe Prestifilippo of Scottsdale, AZ., Carla Kenny of North Brunswick; brother- Charles Prestifilippo of Bayonne; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:45 AM Thursday, October 26, 2017, from Selover Funeral Home. A 10:30 AM Mass will be offered at St. Mary of Mount Virgin RC Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
