Obituary of John H. Allen

John H. Allen, Jr. died Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 58. Born in New Brunswick to the late John H. Allen, Sr. and Mary (Taylor) Allen he lived in North Brunswick before moving to the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick four years ago. He was a cab driver for Piscataway Taxi in Piscataway for four years. His wife, Donna M. (Parenti) Allen died in 2009. He was also predeceased by his brother Richard Taylor. Surviving are his sister Dorothy J. Tonkens of Highland Park; his sister-in-law Carol Taylor of North Brunswick; his niece Sandra Tonkens of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and three great nephews – Thomas, Albert Joseph and Leon. Private cremation was under the direction of Selover Funeral Home 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. A graveside service and burial of cremated remains will be held 1:00 PM Friday at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
