Obituary of Virginia Valdata

Virginia (Nason) Valdata died Monday, October 16, 2017, at Silverado Senior Living –Cypresswood in Houston, Texas. She was 88. Born in New Brunswick to the late John and Alice (Stillwell) Nason, she lived in North Brunswick for over 35 years before moving to Houston in 2014. She worked in the operator services division of AT&T in New Brunswick and North Brunswick for 22 years before her retirement in 1988. Mrs. Valdata was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. She was a member of the North Brunswick Senior Citizens and the Senior Bowling Leagues at Carolier Lanes in North Brunswick. Her husband of 63 years, Harold Valdata, died in 2010. She is also predeceased by her brother William F. Nason. Surviving are her two sons – John Valdata of Tucson, Arizona and James Valdata and his wife Sylvia of New York City; her daughter Emily Franks and her husband Nicholas of Houston, TX; her brother John J. Nason of Southampton, NJ; her sister Mary A. Singer of Hamilton, NJ; her daughter-in-law Beverly Valdata of East Brunswick, NJ; five grandchildren and their spouses – Kim and Steve Pecesky, Dawn and Jim Jessup, Jaclyn and Andy Dublin, Christine Franks and Sean Franks; and two great grandchildren – Mason Dublin and Paige Pecesky. Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:30 AM funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. The family requests NO flowers. Many wonderful caregivers and nurses took care of Virginia in her final years, in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Silverado Senior Living, 10225 Cypresswood Drive, Houston, TX 77070 and note the Associates Holiday Fund.
