Obituary of Gudrite Sandra Goldschmidts

Gudrite Sandra "Sandy" Goldschmidts died Thursday, December 7, 2017, at her home in Derwood, Maryland. She was 58. Born in Highland Park, New Jersey she lived there before moving to Maryland 38 years ago. She was a first grade teacher in the Montgomery County Schools for 30 years before retiring in 2015. Mrs. Goldschmidts was a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church of Rockville in Maryland and the Latvian Lutheran Church of New Brunswick and Lakewood in East Brunswick, NJ. She was predeceased by her father Harry E. Tarziers in 2012 and by her sister Silva M. Tarziers in 2013. Surviving are her husband Alfred Goldschmidts; two sons – Andris Goldschmidts and Aleks Goldschmidts, both of Damascus, MD; and her mother Aina (Atelsons) Tarziers of Highland Park. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
