Obituary of Sophie Olcsvay

Sophie (Selivoncik) Olcsvay died Monday, December 18, 2017, at CareOne at East Brunswick. She was 91. Born in North Brunswick she was a lifelong township resident. She was a cafeteria worker at Livingston Park Elementary School in North Brunswick before her retirement in 1999. Sophie loved to go to bingo and had many bingo friends. Her husband Joseph P. Olcsvay died in 1975. She was also predeceased by her parents Trofin and Florence (Dimiduk) Selivoncik; sisters – Alice Huber, Anne Clinton, Mary Wyladyka and Helen Wondowsky; and her granddaughter Audrey Jurewicz. Surviving are three daughters – Linda Jurewicz and her husband Garry of North Brunswick, Shirley Livingston of Orlando, Florida and Dorothy Corbin of Edison; two sons – Joseph Olcsvay and his wife Patricia of Benton, Pennsylvania and Ronald Olcsvay and his wife Kristen of Griggstown; a sister Viola Christian of Florida; five grandchildren – Alicia and Joseph Olcsvay, Kelly Russell, and Tracy and Ashley Corbin; and three great grandchildren – Vyolet Olcsvay, and Emma and Phoenix Russell. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
