Obituary of LeRoy F. "Lee" Oughton, Jr.

LeRoy F. "Lee" Oughton, Jr. died Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. He was 73. Born in Greenville, South Carolina he was raised in South Brunswick and lived in North Brunswick before moving to Milltown in 1978. He was president and co-owner of Oakley Specialized Services in Metuchen for many years prior to his retirement. Mr. Oughton served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Christ Church Episcopal in New Brunswick, Palestine Lodge #111 F&AM in Princeton, the Shriners International and American Legion Joyce Kilmer Post #25 in Milltown. He was predeceased by his parents LeRoy F., Sr. and Pearle (Jackson) Oughton; his mother-in-law Emily (Pulverenti) Federigo; his sister-in-law Joan Oughton; and brothers-in-law John and Peter Federigo. Surviving are his wife Linda (Federigo) Oughton; his son Brien Oughton of High Bridge; his daughter Dana L. Pepe and her husband Anthony of Milltown; two brothers – Ronald Oughton of St. Petersburg, Florida and Kenneth Oughton and his wife Denise of Warren, Michigan; six grandchildren – Tyler and Lindsey Pepe, Madison and Morgan Oughton and their mother Suzanne (Brusso) Oughton, and Pearle and Matthew Oughton; two nieces – Tammi Oughton Hinman and her husband David and Katie Oughton; and his nephew Drew Oughton. Private cremation was under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to their family and friends for all their prayers and words of comfort. A special thank you to the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their excellent care and kindness.
