Charles T. Winchester, died Saturday, January 13, 2018, peacefully at home. He was 87 years old. Mr. Winchester was born in Highland Park and has lived in North Brunswick for 64 years. He worked as a training specialist for the United States Post Office, New Brunswick for 32 and a half years and he retired in 1985. Mr. Winchester served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a communicant of Saint Mary of Mount Virgin RC Church, New Brunswick; a member of the American Legion, Post 25, Milltown, and he worked part time for Price's Flower Shop, New Brunswick. He is predeceased by his parents Wesley and Mildred (Haas) Winchester, his brother Leroy Winchester, sister- Mildred Stark, half-brother James Winchester and a half-sister Barbara Talluto. Mr. Winchester is survived by his wife of 64 years Margaret (Canastra) Winchester of North Brunswick; his two children- Brian Winchester of North Brunswick and Karen Swercheck (Frank) of Monroe; brother Wesley Winchester(Sara) of Barnegat; three grandchildren Tara Warner (Brian), Frankie Swercheck (fiancé Amy) and Erin Swercheck and two great grandchildren Emma and Haley Warner. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from the Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Interment will be in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
