Obituary of Eleanore C. Paolo

Eleanore C. (Kleindienst) Paolo died Friday, February 9, 2018, at her daughter's home in Naples, Florida. She was 93. Born in Jersey City to the late Robert and Nellie (Vertucci) Kleindienst, she had lived in North Brunswick for 60 years before moving to Boca Raton, Florida then to Naples. She was a secretary in the entomology and agricultural engineering departments at Rutgers University in New Brunswick where she worked for 35 years before her retirement. Mrs. Paolo was a former communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick and more recently was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick. She was a member of the North Brunswick Italian American Club Ladies Auxiliary, the Deborah Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and was secretary of a women's bowling league at Carolier Lanes in North Brunswick. She was a volunteer for the North Brunswick election polls and enjoyed spending summers in South Seaside Park. Her husband Anthony M. Paolo died in 1987. She was also predeceased by a grandson – Brandon Paolo. Surviving are two sons – Anthony M. Paolo, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Montgomery, NJ and Robert J. Paolo and his wife Colleen of Boca Raton, FL; her daughter Donna McPherson of Naples, FL; four grandchildren – David A. Paolo and his wife Sarah Personette of Fair Haven, NJ, Kaitlyn M. Paolo of Austin, Texas, Troy McPherson and his wife Aileen of Jenks, Oklahoma and Tracy Hayden and her husband Dennis of Houston, TX; and seven great grandchildren – Connor Paolo, Declan Paolo, Christian McPherson, Charles Ethan McPherson, Callen Hayden, Anthony Joseph "AJ" Paolo and Brandy Paolo. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:45 AM Friday from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
