Obituary of Salvatore Georgianna, Jr.

Salvatore "Sam" Georgianna, Jr. died Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 58. Born in New Brunswick to the late Salvatore and Patricia (Rhine) Georgianna, he was a lifelong North Brunswick resident. He was an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #456 in New Brunswick for 36 years before retiring in 2015. Sam was a 39 year member, a trustee and former assistant chief of North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company #3. He was treasurer of North Brunswick Township Fire Department and was a life member of the New Jersey Volunteer Fire Chief's Association. He loved to build and race cars. Surviving are his wife Sandra (Krawsek) Georgianna of Clearwater, Florida; his daughter Morgan Georgianna of Clearwater; his son Salvatore "Sam" Georgianna, III and his fiancée Monika Kupczak of Jamesburg; his sister – Lori-An Braconi and her husband Louis of Toms River; his beloved friend Sherry DeMarchi of Jamesburg; nieces – Lianne and Lauren Braconi; nephews – Michael, Patrick and Dylan Dengelegi; aunts – Rose Keating and Barbara and Millie Georgianna; and many cousins and beloved brothers of the fire department and electrician's union. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company #3, 1470 Cozzens Lane, North Brunswick, 08902. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at the firehouse followed by a procession and cremation at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company #3. Arrangements are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
