Obituary of Gilda F Nastasi

Gilda F. (Montanelli) Nastasi died Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center in Somerset. She was 95.

Born in Newark she lived in New Brunswick before moving to Milltown in 1991. She was a seamstress for Bond Clothing Company in New Brunswick for over 25 years before her retirement.

Mrs. Nastasi was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick and was a member of the church's Golden Age Club. She was a member of the New Brunswick Senior Citizens. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, pinochle, bocce and sewing.

Her husband Anthony Nastasi died in 2005. She was also predeceased by her sister Mary Santalucia and her brother Rocco Montanelli.  Surviving are her son Nicholas Nastasi and his wife Cindy of Milltown; her daughter Concetta Kish of East Brunswick; her sister Madeline Ray of Bermuda; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. The funeral will be 9:45 AM Monday from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
