Obituary of Dorothy J Murphy

Dorothy J. (Mazur) Murphy died Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She was 75. Born to the late Walter and Margaret (Polowczyk) Mazur she lived in South Brunswick before moving to North Brunswick 48 years ago. She was a licensed practical nurse who worked at Merwick Care Center in Princeton and St. Peter's University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick before her retirement. Mrs. Murphy was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick and had been a member of the Kendall Park First Aid and Rescue Squad. Her husband Robert F. Murphy died in 2014. She was also predeceased by her brother Walter Mazur. Surviving are her son Lawrence Murphy of South Amboy; and two grandsons – Daniel and Brandon Murphy. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church in North Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
