Obituary of Jeannettea "Roberta" Novak

Jeanettea "Roberta" (Dezendorf) Novak died Monday, July 16, 2018, at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. She was 86.

Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Herbert N. and Jeannettea Grace (Cowan) Dezendorf, she lived in Howard Beach, Queens before moving to Acra, New York and more recently to Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. She was a maître d'hotel for Harry M. Stevens Concessions in Queens for over 40 years before retiring in 2007.

Mrs. Novak was a member of St. Barnabas Lutheran Church in Howard Beach.

Her husband Frank Novak died in 1963. Surviving are her daughter Jackie-Lynn Singh and her husband Jabbar of Monmouth Junction; her son Curt Novak of Roseville, California; two sisters – Leslie-Lynne Darling of New Hampshire and Ellen Grace Hartmann of Acra, New York; three grandchildren – Jas-Lynn Singh, Sara Churchman and Jenny Novak; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Kendall Park, NJ. Cremation will follow in Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.
