Obituary of Rose M. DeCandia

Rose M. (Turczany) DeCandia died Monday, August 20, 2018, at the home of her daughter in North Brunswick. She was 73. Born in New Brunswick to the late Frederick and Jean (Nicotra) Turczany, she lived in New Brunswick before moving to North Brunswick over 10 years ago. She had worked in quality control for L'Oreal Cosmetics in North Brunswick for over 10 years before her retirement. Rose was a devoted mother and grandmother to her children as well as her extended family. She will be missed by many including her daughter Laura DeCandia of North Brunswick; her son Richard DeCandia of Spotswood; her three sisters – Anne Maconi of Ohio, Joan Snyder of Absecon and Elaine Burns of North Brunswick; her brother Fred Turczany and his wife Jeanette of East Brunswick; her grandchildren – Justa DeCandia, Richard DeCandia, III, Zachary Zimmermann and Kayla Rose Zimmermann; her great grandson Devin Ferrera; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation was private. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick with a memorial service at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial of the cremated remains will take place 11:00 AM Thursday in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
