Clare A. Mongon, died Friday, August 24, 2018, at Parker @ McCarrick Rehabilitation Center, Somerset. She was 91 years old.
Mrs. Mongon was born in Weehawken and she has lived in Teaneck and Jersey City before moving to Howell 30 years ago. Mrs. Mongon was a past communicant of Saint Cecilia's RC Church in Farmingdale. She worked as a nurse for 40 years. She retired 30 years ago from the Jersey City Department of Health.
Mrs. Mongon is predeceased by her husband Edward J. Mongon in 1991, parents Peter J. Sr. and Anna C. (Gliedt) Dietrich, her son Dennis Mongon and her brothers Peter and John Dietrich. She is survived by her children, Joanne Mongon and her husband Warren Greenberg of North Brunswick; Steven Mongon and his wife Diane of Green Brook; a daughter-in-law Nancy Mongon of Monroe; a sister Joan Doyle of San Diego, CA; five-grandchildren Marisa, Edward, Adam, Carolyn and Rachael. Three great grandchildren-Carly, Sophia and Nicholas.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Wednesday from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at Saint Mathias RC Church, Somerset.
