Obituary of James J. O'Shea

James J. O'Shea died Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Hackensack Meridian Nursing and Rehab at Shrewsbury. He was 77. Born in New Brunswick to the late John and Marie (Boelhouwer) O'Shea he lived in Edison and Brick before moving to Sarasota, Florida. He also maintains a home in Manchester Township. He was the owner of Jim's Food Products in Edison and Brick for 25 years before his retirement in 1998. Mr. O'Shea was a member of the Edison Jaycees and the Sarasota Bay Parrothead Club. He had served in the United States Navy. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother John O'Shea. Surviving are his wife Lynne D. (Roller) O'Shea; two daughters – Shannon O'Shea of Richmond, Virginia and Megan Spalthoff and her husband John of Jackson; his brother Dennis O'Shea and his wife Betty of Palm Harbor, FL; three sisters and their husbands – Marie and Harold Harris of Harford, Pennsylvania, Patricia and Richard Gagliano of Weeki Wachee, FL and Barbara and Richard Eschele of Bound Brook; three grandchildren – Timothy, Kathryn and Delaney; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Burial will follow in Washington Monumental Cemetery in South River. Friends and relatives may call at Selover Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
