Obituary of Joseph A. Policastro

Joseph A. Policastro passed away Friday, September 14, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 69. Born in New Brunswick to the late Anthony and Alberta (Schnatter) Policastro, he lived in North Brunswick before moving to Monroe Township in 2006. He was a New Jersey State Investigator with Alcoholic Beverage Control for the past 15 years. Prior to that he was a salesman at High Grade Beverage in South Brunswick for 34 years. Mr. Policastro was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. He was a member of New Jersey State PBA, Local #356. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Nicholas J. Policastro in 2011; and his sisters – Elizabeth R. DeMarco and Della Policastro. Surviving are his wife Patricia (Thomas) Policastro; his son Anthony Policastro and his wife Amy of Cranbury; his brother George Policastro and his wife Donna of Flanders; his precious dog, Muffin; and nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be 10:15 AM Thursday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by an 11:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at Selover Funeral Home Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Brain Aneurysm Foundation, 269 Hanover Street #3, Hanover, MA 02339, bafound.org or to the North Shore Animal League, 25 Davis Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050.
