The universe embraced a beautiful soul on the morning of Sept. 26, 2018, as Roger J. Mauro peacefully succumbed to his year-long struggle with cancer at his home in Cranbury, NJ.
Born Dec. 20, 1954 – son of Rita Staples and Frank Mauro. Oldest of cherished siblings: Frank, Natalie, Darren, Bryan.
North Brunswick native, attended Linwood Middle, New Brunswick High, Middlesex County College, DeVry Univ.
Wife, Susan (Miller), and daughters Cecilia and Emily are honored to call him loving partner/best friend and extraordinary father.
Musician at heart, lead guitar and vocals in many bands throughout the years: Nasty Lass, Jonesy, Maybe Today, The Masterbeats, Roger James and The Beats, Guitar Junkies, Black Rose, Aches and Pains.
Career-long entrepreneur: founding member of WMAV, Altered Image, Visual Media Group, Mauro Home Repair and Improvement.
Organizations that benefited from Roger's involvement: Habitat for Humanity; Middlesex County LACADA; Monday Night EOTL Group; BNI–Ivy League.
Patient, easy going and good-natured, with a sweet, gentle smile… Roger was loved by all who knew him for his kindness, wisdom, humility and quick wit.
Service: Sunday, Sept. 30 – 2-5pm, Selover Funeral Home, 555 George's Road, North Brunswick, NJ.
