Raymond E. Jackson, Jr. passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in Winter Haven, Florida. He was 92.
Born in Plainfield to the late Raymond, Sr. and Esther (Thornton) Jackson, he lived in Hillsborough before moving to Florida. He was district manager for AT&T in Basking Ridge before his retirement in 1987.
Mr. Jackson was a communicant of St. Matthew R.C. Church in Winter Haven where he served as a Minister to the Sick and was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Submarine Service during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post #8 in Winter Haven and the United States Submarine Veterans, Inc. of Lakeland, Florida.
He was predeceased by his first wife Ellen (Harkins) Jackson in 1976; and by his brothers Harry, Paul and Robert. Surviving are his wife Antoinette (Bailey) Biggs; his son and daughter-in-law Raymond J. and Jennifer Jackson and their daughter Casey Ellen Jackson all of Massapequa, New York.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 34 Yorktown Road, Hillsborough. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone.
