Obituary of Jean Cardone-Pilch

On Sunday, November 18, 2018, Jean Cardone-Pilch, loving wife, mother and sister, passed away suddenly at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton at the age of 74. A native of New Brunswick, she lived in North Brunswick, and Jamesburg and moved to Robbinsville in 1990. She was a registered Enrolled Agent for the IRS, and accountant for Edward S. Kahn Law Firm for the past 18 years. She served as treasurer of the Monmouth-Ocean Chapter of the New Jersey Association of Public Accountants. Jean was a strong woman, smart and funny, but also kind and compassionate to others and always made those around her laugh and smile. She shared her love for the Yankees with her husband Tom and son Michael and her love of fashion and shopping with her sisters and friends. She enjoyed fiction novels and going to Atlantic City with her cousin Sandy. She loved her dog Sammy whom she and Tom rescued. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Helen Gilbert, and beloved sister, Jane Marie Belloff. She will be forever remembered by her husband of 25 years, Thomas Pilch. Surviving are two sons, Michael Cardone of Garwood and Anthony Cardone, III of South Brunswick. Also, her brother, William J. Gilbert and his wife Kristine of Shoemakersville, PA, sisters Joanne Gilbert-Francese and husband Michael of Lebanon, and Jacqueline Galante of Bedminster. She had two nephews and a niece, Sarah and Jack Gilbert of Shoemakersville and Ronald Belloff and husband Sen of Bristol PA, and several cousins, including Sandra Mehalis of North Brunswick. A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ. Visitation hours will be from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
