Obituary of Leon Quijano

Leon Quijano died Friday, January 4, 2019, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 85. Born in the Philippines to the late Leon F. Quijano, Sr. and Leonora (Bumanlag) Quijano, he lived in Milltown before moving to North Brunswick in 2007. He was a supervisor at Bristol Myers Squibb in New Brunswick before his retirement. Mr. Quijano was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. His wife Tomasita (Garcia) Quijano died in 2007. Surviving are his daughter Eleanor Quijano of North Brunswick; two sons – Michael Quijano of North Brunswick and Noel Quijano and his wife Louise of Monroe Township; and two grandchildren – Christian and Jessica. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Monday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:15 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
