Obituary of Mary Jane Gianos

Mary Jane (LaPlante) Gianos died Monday, January 14, 2019, at Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough. She was 84. Born in North Brunswick to the late Duncan and Gertrude (Bennington) LaPlante, she was a lifelong township resident. Mrs. Gianos was an administrative assistant at Bank of America in North Brunswick for 45 years before retiring in 1997. She was a member of the National Secretaries Association and in 1976 was named Secretary of the Year at Bank of America. Mrs. Gianos was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church of New Brunswick. She travelled extensively to Europe, Hawaii, Florida, Greece and Ireland. Her husband Spiros Gianos died in 2014. Surviving are two nieces – Debra Santolini and her husband John of Hillsborough and Virginia LaPlante of Riviera Beach, Florida; three nephews - Jeffrey Duncan LaPlante of Lambertville, David Charles LaPlante and his wife Jean of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Frederick LaPlante and his wife Sandra of Jacksonville, Florida; and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Selover Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Middlebush.
