Donald Paul Pitzer passed away on Wednesday May 20, 2020 after a sudden illness at Delray Trauma Center, Delray Beach Florida. He was 86 years old. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Harry A. and Julia (Goldman) Pitzer. After 43 years as a resident of Hamilton Township New Jersey, he recently began enjoying his time in Delray Beach, Florida. Don began his career at Parents Magazine in Bergenfield New Jersey and he retired as the Director of Credit and Collection for the CBS Television Network in New York City where he worked for 30 years prior to his retirement in 2002. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his devoted children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He leisurely loved watching his favorite sports teams on television and especially while attending games in person. Being born and raised in Brooklyn, he would never admit to being a New York Yankees baseball fan however, never missed a game. He devoted his life to his family first and foremost. His surviving sister, Regina Levine of Boynton Beach, Grand children Jeffrey, Jennifer, Jordan, Haley, Ross, Ericka, Ashleigh, and Julia, Great Grandchildren Hayden, Sophia, Jameson, Jacob and Jayson all of whom he loved very much. Don served in the United States Army during the Korean War. As a leader in every way each and every day of his life, he will be desperately missed.
