Donald R. George died Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Sunrise Assisted Living in East Brunswick. He was 79. Born in Rochester, New York to the late Herman R. and Anne (Winhaber) George, he lived in Monroe Township for the past 38 years. He worked on Wall Street before becoming a physics teacher for the Freehold Regional School District, retiring in 2012. He was co-owner of Miss Carol's School of Dance in Piscataway, NJ. He and his wife Carol LOVED going to the NJ Symphony and to Operas. They loved the arts and traveling. He traveled all over the world with Carol and visited many wonderful countries. Mr. George served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1964. Surviving are his wife Carol (Krueger) George; two sisters and two brothers – Karen Lill and her husband Joe, Mary Lee George, Wayne George and his wife Gulsah and Charles George all of Rochester, New York; his children – Bill George and his wife Diane of Hamilton and Deborah Annese and her husband Michael of Tennessee; his stepchildren – Michael Gibson and his wife Joann of Ringoes, Christopher Gibson of Piscataway, Veronica Bona and her husband Jeff of Selbyville, Delaware, Robert Nichols of Piscataway, Larry Gibson of Neptune and Mary Nichols of New Brunswick; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Private cremation services were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick.
