Marion (Valenti) DeLuca died Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Alcoeur Gardens for Alzheimer's Care in Brick Township. She was 89. Born in Orange to the late Phillip Valenti, Sr. and Mary F. (Dunton) Valenti, she was raised in Newark and lived in Kearny for over 60 years. She came to North Brunswick in 2016. Mrs. DeLuca was a school crossing guard in Kearny for 30 years before retiring in 2007. Prior to that she worked at Two Guys Grocery in Kearny. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick and the church's Columbiettes Council #11378. Her husband Joseph G. DeLuca, Sr. died in 1997. She was also predeceased by her son Timothy DeLuca; her brother Phillip Valenti, Jr.; her stepmopther Helen "Jeribee" Valenti; and her stepfather Phillip Moore. Surviving are two sons – Joseph G. DeLuca, Jr. and his wife Joanne of North Brunswick and Brian DeLuca, Sr. and his wife Eileen of Brick Township; her sister-in-law Kathryn Tasco of Toms River; three grandchildren – Brian DeLuca, Jr. of Reno, Nevada, Toni DeLuca of Pleasant Hill, California and Nicholas DeLuca of Brick Township; her niece Susan Aquino and her husband Sam of Toms River; and her nephew Mark Valenti and his wife Joanne of Lebanon. Private funeral services with burial in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick.
