Frank S. Toia died Monday, July 6, 2020, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 92.
Born in New York City to the late Gaetano and Mary (Sinatra) Toia, he lived in Staten Island before moving to North Brunswick over 50 years ago. He was a repairman for General Motors in Linden for 36 years before retiring in 1990.
Mr. Toia was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Peter Toia. Surviving are his wife Susan (Vaiano) Toia; his son Frank P. Toia and his wife Ramona of Millstone Township; his daughter Vivian Manning and her husband William of North Brunswick; three brothers – Philip Toia of Newburgh, New York, Jack Toia of Daytona, Florida and Vincent "Jim" Toia of Farmingville, New York; a sister Frances Nizzari of Acworth, Georgia; four grandchildren – Jenna Segarra and her husband Daniel of Hillsborough, Jacqueline Sites and her husband Bryan of North Brunswick, Brian Toia of South Deerfield, Massachusetts and Eric Toia and his wife Alicia of Sunderland, Massachusetts; and two great grandchildren – Isabella and Vincenzo Segarra.
Private services are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick.
