Obituary of Margaret Szost

Margaret (Patoray) Szost went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 28, 2020, at Francis E. Parker Memorial Home in Piscataway. She was 91.
Born in Udal, Slovakia to the late John and Mary (Hrinia) Patoray, she immigrated to New Jersey in 1956 and lived in Oak Ridge for many years before moving to Piscataway in 2015. She was a line supervisor at Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley for 20 years before her retirement.
Mrs. Szost was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church in Passaic. She was a member of the church's choir and Rosary Society and cooked for many church events. She was known for her delicious perogies.
She was predeceased by two husbands – Nicholas Sedlak in 1972 and Michael Szost in 2009; and by her sisters and brother – Mary Patoray, Stephen Patoray, Anna Kersnowsky and Helen Lissy. Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held 10:00 AM Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel, 96 First Street, Passaic. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in South Hackensack. Arrangements are by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
