Obituary of Sebastiano Saglimbeni

Sebastiano Saglimbeni died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 78. Born in Forza D'Agro, Sicily, Italy to the late Rosario and Santa (Savoca) Saglimbeni, he immigrated to the United States and resided in North Brunswick for over 25 years. He was a tailor at Frank's Big and Tall in East Brunswick for over 20 years before his retirement. Mr. Saglimbeni was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. Above all he was a great and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Giuseppe Saglimbeni; and his stepmother Filippa (Siligato) Saglimbeni. Surviving are his wife Venera (Lo Giudice) Saglimbeni; two daughters – Maria Spataro and her husband Roberto of North Brunswick and Giuseppa Zimmerman and her husband Thomas of Monroe Township; his son Rosario Saglimbeni and his wife Barbara of Massapequa, New York; his sister Carmela Amore and her husband Paul of Monroe Township; and seven grandchildren – Christopher, Michael, Daniel, Isabella, Joseph, Adriana and Brooke. Private funeral services with an entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
