Obituary of Eleanor H. Popielaski

Eleanor H. (Kozubal) Popielaski died Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center in South Amboy. She was 86. Born in New Brunswick to the late Victor and Helen (Kozielec) Kozubal, she lived in Edison before moving to North Brunswick in 1965. She was a cashier at the Grand Union in North Brunswick for 30 years before her retirement. Mrs. Popielaski was a communicant of Sacred Heart R.C. Church in New Brunswick. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge #263 in South Brunswick and the North Brunswick Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband Walter F. Popielaski in 2001; her stepson Frank Popielaski; and her sister Barbara Casey. Surviving are her daughter Donna M. Ball and her husband Kevin of North Brunswick; two sisters – Dorothy Van Riper of Piscataway and Bernadette Lewandoski of Pennsylvania; and two grandsons – Matthew Poli of North Brunswick and Daniel Poli of Helmetta. Visitation will be 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Monday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by an 11:30 AM service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
