Obituary of Heinz Tischhauser

Heinz Tischhauser died Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 91. Born in New Brunswick to the late Max and Marie (Wilhelm) Tischhauser, he lived in New Brunswick before moving to East Brunswick in 1954. He was a buyer and specification writer for Middlesex County for 11 years before his retirement in 1990. Prior to that he was a purchaser and salesman at Coated Products in Middlesex. Mr. Tischhauser was a former member of Suydam Street Reformed Church in New Brunswick. He was a member of the Milltown Lodge #294 F. and A.M. and the East Brunswick Senior Citizens. He played accordion and started the ABC (accordion, bass and clarinet) Trio. He was also a member of the Kara Nemeth Radio Orchestra. His wife Mamie (Macaro) Tischhauser died in 2015. Surviving are two sons – Thomas Tischhauser and his wife Karen of Chicago, Illinois and Alan Tischhauser and his wife Pasqua of East Brunswick; his daughter Donna Rapp of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren – Elizabeth Rapp-van Roden, Eric Rapp, Sara Bourne and Megan, Julia, Max and Anna Tischhauser; and two great grandchildren – Eliza Bourne and Theodore van Roden. Private funeral services with a burial in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick.
