I had the honor of working with Rae the last 15 years. She was more than just a valued teammate, she became a wonderful friend. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. When she found out I was retiring 7/1, she sent a beautiful email to myself and my co-workers just a few days before she was gone. A light in this world went out when we lost her, but she is shining brightly up in Heaven. I love you Rae and I will never forget you.
Love MaryAnne

I first met Rae very briefly in 1988 after being promoted and moving to NJ to take over and LPO for my bank. She was working for one my customers who was conducting me on tour of his Princeton office then managed by Rae. My immediate reaction was what a lovely and engaging woman. Little did I realize that 16 years later I would not only meet her again but have her become the best friend I have ever had in my life.
She loved her mother, brother, niece and nephew, various aunts, uncles, cousins and her entire extended Italian family and her friends and enjoying good times with all, especially when it involved cooking a gourmet meal. She especially loved her final job and fellow employees at Utica National and strove mightily and successively to help her many agents in any way she reasonably could. She also was highly regarded by all her friends at BNI (Business Networking Int’l) where she did incredible things that I personally experienced and frequently saw happen.
Her laughter and kind demeanor were contagious. She was never judgmental and in business especially, she was always about the solution and not the problem. This is rare trait indeed and ego never really played any part. For me, her family, and many others she was a bright and shining star whose light burned out far too soon and deprived us of what could have been. For the rest of my life, I doubt a day will go by when I will not think about something she did or said. I am incredibly sad that she is no longer with us.

We were so saddened to learn of Rae's passing. We did not have the pleasure
of knowing her, but we do know how close this family is, and how much Guy adored her.

And he shall make the face of heaven so fine that
All the world will be in love with the night, and pay
No worship to the garish sun."

Rae will live on in our memories forever. She was such a wonderful, upbeat, caring, generous woman. She had such a way about her that was so genuine. When she visited or called our agency, it was a friend calling. It was never just small talk. My wife and I are really going to miss her. Very sad to see her go. Our condolences to her family and her extended family at Utica National, where I know she was loved. Bye Rae xoxo.
Dearly missed,
Joel & Lisa MacLean

I have never known another person who could look on the bright side, and have hope, and expect the best, and feel happy about it all. Raphy was even more extraordinary because she did all of that during one stressful, or painful event after the other. Funny that she was such a savvy business woman, and a true entrepreneur, but also willing to consider strange and outside of the norm ideas.
One of my best friends ever. Forever.

I met Rae in 1982 when we shared an office as bi-lingual (and in Rae’s case, tri-lingual) secretaries for Société Générale in NYC. We hit if off immediately and became great friends from that very first day. Rae’s smile and enthusiasm would light up the room. She was always helping others and had such a positive outlook on life. She taught me how to make fresh mozz and many other Italian specialties. The world will be a bit less bright without her.

Growing up I struggled to feel like I fit in, and our large family gatherings could often feel overwhelming. Raefi always went out of her way to make me feel seen and included. She beamed sunlight and joy.
