Obituary of Florence V Kawalec

Florence V. (Campion) Kawalec died Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. She was 96.
Born in Bayonne to the late John and Jennie (Markey) Campion, she lived in Elizabeth and North Brunswick before moving to the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge over two years ago. She worked in the shipping and receiving department of Sears and Roebuck in Elizabeth for 23 years before retiring in 1989. Prior to that she worked for Bell Telephone and at the Maidenform factory.
Mrs. Kawalec was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph E. Kawalec in 1997. Surviving are her son Edward Kawalec and his wife Katherine of East Brunswick; and two grandsons – Joseph and Jason Kawalec, both of East Brunswick. It gave her great joy in her later years to help raise her grandsons and her grandpuppy, Katie.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Linden.
