Obituary of Irene E. Alesi

Irene E. (Andreca) Alesi, 101, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation at Brick after a fall suffered in late March. Born in New Brunswick to the late Stephen and Suzanne (Szabo) Andreca, she lived in North Brunswick before moving to Brick Township in 1985. She worked as an executive secretary at Revlon in Edison for 28 years before her retirement. She was predeceased by her husband Guisto Alesi in 1984; and son Charles "Chet" Alesi in 1990. Surviving are her daughter Andrea Kowaleski and her husband Ronald of Marriottsville, Maryland; daughter-in-law Carol Alesi of Ocean; grandchildren – Korienne Rogers and husband Billy, Keith Kowaleski and wife Carmen, Christopher Alesi and John Charles Alesi; great grandchildren - Robyn and Michelle Rogers; and great-great grandchildren - Addison and Billy Rhodes. Also surviving are her beloved niece Sandra Myers; and Sandra's children - Jeff, Susan, Jill, and Gary. Rene, as all called her, left a rich legacy for those that knew her as a life-long learner with a generous, grateful and strong independence, having a strength beyond words. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Private funeral services with entombment in Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick.
