Obituary of Richard A Betzler

Richard A. Betzler died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Hartwyck at Oak Tree in Edison. He was 90. Born in Milltown to the late John Betzler, Sr. and Marie (Kressley) Betzler, he was a lifelong borough resident. He worked at Milltown Pharmacy before becoming a supply clerk at Public Service Electric and Gas in New Brunswick for 18 years before his retirement in 1998. Mr. Betzler was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in Milltown. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was an active member of the James Paige Detachment of the Marine Corps League. Surviving are his wife of 67 years Rose M. (Guise) Betzler; many nieces and nephews and their families; and his two dogs – Parker and Lilly. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at Selover Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
