Christopher J. Homeny passed away Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. He was only 54 years old.
Born in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong Old Bridge Township resident who was loved, treasured and respected by many throughout the community. A handyman by trade, he worked the past two years as a water filtration specialist for Quench though his skills and knowledge expanded far beyond his most recent profession.
Chris re-founded and was very involved in the local music community, Old Bridge Metal Militia. He was a board member for the charity organization, Under My Skin for Life. Through these two projects alone he has helped innumerable people throughout the years.
Chris was a beloved father, husband, brother, friend, mentor, artist, creator and protector. There is no counting how many people who will miss this incredible man.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert J. Homeny. Surviving are his wife Patricia H. (Powers) Homeny; his daughter Samantha Homeny of Old Bridge; his mother Alice L. (Thompson) Homeny of Old Bridge; two brothers Robert Homeny and his wife Susanne and Lawrence Homeny (and family) of New Egypt; his mother-in-law Christina Powers of Largo, Florida; his brother-in-law Michael Powers and his wife Rebecca of Bethany, PA; and his sister-in-law Marie Powers and her fiancé James Noel of Gallitzin, PA.
Cremation was private. A gathering of friends and relatives will take place from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, July 12, 2021 at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick with a memorial service to be held at 7:00 PM.
