Obituary of Maryann J Vadas

Maryann J Vadas passed away Friday, June 25, 2021, at JFK University Medical Center in Edison after a brief illness. She was 79. Born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, Maryann was raised in Edison and lived most of her life in her childhood home. She was an administrative assistant at the Ford Motor Company for more than thirty years and retired several years ago. Maryann was a beautiful soul with a warm smile and was loving, generous and kind. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her much beloved brother Dr. Robert L. Vadas and his wife Patricia of Orono, Maine; nephew Robert L Vadas, Jr. of Olympia, Washington; niece Sharon L Vadas and Erich Becker of Longmont, Colorado; nephew Brent K Vadas and his wife Dierdre of Orrington, Maine. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews including Tanisha Gilbert and her husband Christopher, Aurora Vadas-Arendt, Mariah Guimond and her husband Aaron, Robert Vadas III, Rebekah Vadas, Mariana Vadas-Arendt and Jeremiah Vadas; four great nieces and a great nephew - Easton Gilbert, Sirena Gilbert, Autumn Guimond and Violet Guimond; and her very special friend for over 30 years, RoseAnne and her husband Eddie Briecke of Edison. Maryann was predeceased by her parents Louis and Mary Vadas; her sister Mary Lou Giles; and her brother–in–law Robert Giles. Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, New Jersey. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, July 23, 2021, at Selover Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
