Obituary of Helen F. Orsi

Helen F. (Kalinowski) Orsi died Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Brandywine Assisted Living at Governor's Crossing in Englishtown. She was 89. Born and raised in Newark to the late Joseph and Irene (Wudecka) Kalinowski, she lived in North Brunswick before moving to Monroe Township in 2002. She entered Brandywine in 2016. She was an office clerk for the Newark News before becoming a cafeteria aide at Livingston Park School in North Brunswick for many years before retiring in 2002. Helen loved life and was always the life of the party. She enjoyed dancing and having fun. Her loving and fun-filled personality will stay with her family forever. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Joseph L. Orsi in 2004; and her brother Joseph M. Kalinowski. She was a loving aunt to her deceased nephew Carmen J. Verderosa. Surviving are her sister Barbara Verderosa and her husband Carmen of Monroe; and her niece Diane Verderosa Palella and her husband Carmelo of Monroe. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Selover Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
