Obituary of Janet A. Delesandro

Janet A. Delesandro died Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison. She was 76. Born in New Brunswick to the late John A. and Lena (Traficante) Delesandro, she was a lifelong city resident. Janet graduated from New Brunswick High School and attended Drake's Business School in New Brunswick. She became a union secretary at Bristol Myers Squibb in New Brunswick for 39 years before her retirement in 2006. She was a member of the Bristol Myers Squibb Retirees Activity Club. Janet was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. She enjoyed time at the family's seashore home in Spring Lake with family and friends. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother George Delesandro. Surviving is her brother John R. Delesandro of New Brunswick. Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Thursday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by an 11:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
