Obituary of Doris R. Kelly

Doris R. (Van Hise) Kelly died Thursday, September 9, 2021, at her home in the Griggstown section of Franklin Township. She was 91. Born in New Brunswick to the late Bertram and Edna (Anderson) Van Hise, she lived in Franklin Park for 20 years before moving to Griggstown in 1986. She was a paraprofessional for the South Brunswick Board of Education for 27 years before retiring in 2011. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post #9111 in Kendall Park. Her husband Patrick Kelly died in 2005. Surviving are her son Thomas J. Kelly and his wife Kelly of Hamilton; three grandchildren – Tara, Brittany and Kevin; two great grandchildren – Kylee and Hayley; her niece Joan Genthe; and her nephew Jerry Helmeczi. Private graveside services under the direction of Selover Funeral Home in North Brunswick were held in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
