Obituary of Ernest V Boll

Ernest V. "Buzzy" Boll passed away peacefully Sunday, September 12, 2021, at his home in North Brunswick. He was 99. Buzzy was born on March 7, 1922 in New Brunswick to the late John A. Boll and Katherine (Dey) Boll. He lived in New Brunswick until moving to North Brunswick with his loving wife in 1955. Buzzy served in World War II with the United States Army from 1942 to 1945. Upon returning from Europe, he worked as a truck driver and then with the North Brunswick Water Department for fifteen years before his retirement in 1988. Buzzy was an active member of the North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company #1 for over 65 years, where he was named honorary Chief in 2020. He was a member of the North Brunswick Exempt Firemen's Association, the Firemen's Relief Association and was a life member of the Fire Police Associations of North Brunswick, Middlesex County and the State of New Jersey. Buzzy was a charter member and past president of the Eagles A.C. He was an inductee of the New Brunswick Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Magyar Reformed Church. Along with being an active member of his community, there was nothing he was more dedicated to than his loving family. Buzzy was predeceased by his beloved wife of 72 years, Eleanor "Ellie" Boll in 2020; his son Ernest V. Boll, Jr.; and his brother Charles S. Boll. Surviving are his twin sons - Randy Boll of Millstone and Ricky Boll and his wife Sue of Jackson; his brother John "Jack" Boll of New Brunswick; his sister Katherine Romeo of Monroe Township; seven grandchildren - Jessica (Gary) Siculietano; Breanna Boll; Danielle (Jason) Heller; Rachel (Tyler) DiStefano; Brooke Boll; Leah (Brody) Wilson; Ricky Boll; and six great-grandchildren - Holly, Emmie, Raelynn, Dennis, Jack and Colton. Buzzy will always be remembered for his love of chocolate ice cream, a great ball game, his infectious smile and his kind, compassionate spirit. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday at Selover Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
