Obituary of Carmelo A. Bianchi, Jr.

Please share a memory of Carmelo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carmelo A. Bianchi Jr., beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on November 13, 2021, at the age of 73. Born in July of 1948 to the late Carmelo A. Bianchi, Sr. and Angelina (Georgiana) Bianchi, he grew up in Old Bridge and lived most of his life in that area. He moved to Bear, Delaware in 2004 for business and then moved back to New Jersey in 2018 to be closer to his grandsons. Helping in the family business since he was a kid, Carmen was one of the most talented truck drivers on the road for over 50 years. He worked for various trucking companies but most enjoyed working for himself as an owner/operator with his wife Jill as his administrator. He was often referred to as a human atlas and would give you detailed directions to almost any address you mention. He loved being on the road, chatting with his many buddies, cooking delicious meals, watching old westerns, and falling asleep to the weather channel. He was passionate and stubborn, generous and loyal; a diamond in the rough as Jill often thought of him. Carmen's passing is a shock to all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed. Mr. Bianchi was a former communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick where he was a 3rd Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, Monsignor Pasquale Mugnano Council # 6572. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Ramona Ziminski. Surviving are his wife of over 30 years, Jill (Dunham) Bianchi; two daughters – Kimberly Sherman Tipping, her husband Michael, their two children Edwin and Emmett of Magnolia and Karen Sherman Conner, her partner Robert Whitlock, their two children Madison and Julia of Duncan, South Carolina; two brothers – Thomas Bianchi of New Brunswick and Anthony Bianchi of Woodbridge; two sisters Roxanna Winters of Bound Brook and Regina Gensel of Port Republic; many nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday and 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Selover Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your local Knights of Columbus, Wounded Warriors, or a charity of your choice.
