Obituary of Irene DiGiglio

Irene (VerHey) DiGiglio died Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Chelsea at East Brunswick. She was 100.

Born in Holland Michigan, she lived in Piscataway and North Brunswick before moving to East Brunswick in 2016.

Mrs. DiGiglio was a former member of the Presbyterian Church of New Brunswick. She was an outgoing person who loved the outdoors and was an avid freshwater fisherman. She mostly enjoyed time with her family.

Her husband Joseph A. DiGiglio died in 1973. Surviving are two daughters – Dorothy DiGiglio Van Liew of South Brunswick and Annette DiGiglio and her husband Michael Hanley of Adare, County Limerick, Ireland; two sons – Frank DiGiglio and his wife Georgianna of Kendall Park and Joseph DiGiglio and his wife Annie of Lebanon; her sister Joyce Rodgers of Apollo, Michigan; her brother Kenneth J. VerHey of Holland, Michigan; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Selover Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway.
